hey i was wondering when the lehnga, skirt, gharara became the main thing to wear at a wedding? was it always this style or was shalwar kameez ever worn for a big event? if anyone has knowlege help me out!

I guess ppl used to wear shalway kameez before and even today some ppl wear shalwar kameez but nowadays its very rare,,,, since most of the girls like to wear lehnga n stuff. It looks nice tho... I looooooooove Lehnga n gharara's.

some of my cousins recently had their wedding and wore shalwar kameez with heavy dupatta which looked very pretty, however i think a wedding is incomplete without a lehnga/gharara type dress. :)
1 of my friend also wore red coloured hyderabadi shalwar kameez worked heavily ...in her wedding....it was luking diff.... n nice though...but afterall lehnga is lehnga ...
but ofcourse many years bek ppl used to wear shalwar kameez with gota work on their wedding...things are den changed with d passage of tym
