As you all know gold prices are sky high at the moment… but does this stop my mum from wanting me to wear real gold on the wedding NO!
I wanted to ask has anyone done gold shopping from Dubai and is it cheaper than here in the UK and Pakistan.

i live in dubai .. recently bought a couple of things in gold
no difference in prices .. plus u cannot find any bridal jewelry (the kind we find in pakistan with beads and bridal looking kind) here in dubai .. its better if you wish to buy very expensive ones cuz the diamond and polki ones ffrom damas n indian stores are awesome .. but real diamonds ? 50k AED + each set!

im buying the regular wear ones if i need to .. or id buy gold coins and get a set in pakistan as the gold is def. pure-er here :)

hey obsession i m also in duabai 
anyhow u can get some good gold bangles from dubai n diamonds otherwise i dont like the gold sets here they r very indian style n all of them are almost same u cant find much variety here

Hey thanx for your replies. Im looking for a wedding necklace with earings and about 6 bangles with the kara set plus tikka chumar and naath and the hand thing.
Is the price of actual gold cheaper in dubai than it is in pakistan.... i can get all the beads and stuff put on in pak

… ure right .. no good designs .. better to just buy pure gold if you are concerned as you will get a good value for them .. diamond sets are to die for here but they cost a fortune!

Ive heard the gold souk is great for jewellery… arn’t most jewellery shops owned by Indian and Pakistani jewellers there?
I can’t afford diamonds so I won’t even mention diamond jewellery

yes there are a lot of pakistani shops and indian shops but their designs are not what we now wear in pk .. a lot of females in pak get matching beads or stones added to match their outfits ..
like a i said .. ull get an only gold set .. without matching stones .. mainly indian designs .. a decent size for 2.5 lacs - 3 lacs .. without teeka and nath ...
plus the earrings here succkk .. theyre noo jhoomers or those long kind we wear on our weddings .. all i found in alllll gold souks are tops like earrings .. !!
damas n joyu has bridal sets but with semi precious stones .. but theyre hell expensive too =|
like i said if u wana buy pure gold coins or something .. its a good palce to get some cuz its got really pure gold
or casual sets .. like the ones we buy just like that wearing after weddings!

Na on a serious note I think im better of getting the gold from here UK or Pak..
Ive heard ppl say that gold in pak has malaawut in it meaning its not pure gold.
I wonder if it would be possible to get gold coins at the jewellers that be at Dubai airport cuz we have a connecting flight to pak and stops in dubai
