hello girls i m getting married in march inshallah i need help regarding my wedding jewellery my wedding dress is red ( tomato red )…with white cyrstals swarovski work on it …mashllah the dress is stunning …its made by dubai based indian designer. now i am confuse about the jewellery what should i wear with it please help me can i waer polki or kundan jewellery with it but i m confused because kundan jewellery comes mostly in maroon n green color in it i dont know if it will go along with my dress or not please girls help me !!!

hey deeeep, would you be able to post a pic of the kaam, it might help us to picture it? Also, have you considered kundan, it tends to be done with white stones on gold setting, which SOUNDS like it might suit better.
In the movie Thank You, Sonam Kapoor wears Tomato red with Chikanri work and kundan jewellery. I’m gonna try and upload a pic, hopefully it shows up, if not, they are all on my blog.

You can change the stones. Kunda looks nice has a better “spread”
Stick to zircon with an element of the same shade of red. Look for any stone, even crystals to get the shade you want.

you could get kundan jewellery but custom made to ur colour. i know alot of places in pakistan do that. it wud help if u could post a pic of a similar dress to ur dress.

Do you have any secondary colors in your dress, or is it only red? You know, I was worried about matching my jewelry with my dress, also, but I learned that any jewelry will go. Even the green one in the picture will look stunning. And even if you have shades that are off-base, like ruby pink jewelry, or maroon garnet-colored jewelry and your dress is a diff. shade of red, it won’t matter. The dress will bring out shades in the jewels that will make it coordinate. So don’t fret.

DP, I think you could actually pull off any colour that goes with that shade of red, especially a light shade of turquoise, any clear green stone, or some shades of pink.
I don't think you should wear a different shade of red in the stones than the one that is in your dress. Tomato red is toooo strong a colour to work with a wine or garnet shade. It will clash.
Looking at the sample of embroidery you've posted, it seems the single colour embroidery in a very whitish crystal and silver against the strong red creates a big contrast. The design of your embroidery is going to be very noticeable. I think if you concentrate on finding a jewellery set that mimics the teardrop and s-shaped flourishes of your embroidery, it'll match nicely and any colour differences will be harder to notice any colour differences. I think the second set posted by Demesne is a good example.
The set shilpa is wearing is lovely, but if you notice, she's paired it with a very warm-toned sari, with gold elements, so it works better with hers.

You can find this basic style almost at any good jewellers in Pakistan sweetheart. You might have to make slight modifications for the exact look.

I think though the OP would fare better with a diamond set - only do it in zircons to control the price. and add red crystals to it - they will give the exact shade of red u are looking for. Adding crystals doesnt take long to any set.
