Beiges and antique whites are a perfectly safe choice to keep it elegant.

what are the colors for your wedding? Do you have any theme going on? Ivorys, cream, white by themselves or with another color will look quite elegant. What size are you thinking of?

I basically researched the internet and got an idea of what I wanted + sketched my own ideas... took it to Pakistan and spent around 6 hours with the guy who helped me bring it to life. @BellaShabba - Thanks! :) Unfortunately, this is the one shop in Pakistan that I DON'T remember the name of. It was a teeeny tiny store at the end of one of the strips... They were actually really reasonable. I got my invitations + favours for $120
@uniquepinky - I agree with Lusi... incorporate your theme or favourite colours into your invitations. Ivory/Beige looks good with just about any colour

Gorgeous invite, Shaza - I think dark colours are in.
I just handed out my invites - they are navy with silver writing and white inserts - and a lot of people have said that they really liked them. They are simple but the colour combination makes them look elegant.

Im getting mine done in pak when i go in September. I was thinking to match the invitations with my dress but i have no clue what colour i want for my dress so not sure yet.
Any suggestions for colour combinations for wedding invites?

At the moment, I am making wedding invites for a couple, it is egg plant purple, white, and black damask combo. Looks pretty decent.
I would say if you are wearing reds, go for a neutral tone like ivorys, sand, or cream with the reds. You can also take a light and dark tone/color from your dress and use them in your card.

I got a box that looks like a candy wrapper... with our names, dates and our wedding design ("logo"). I'll be posting pictures soon - just trying to settle into married life... and then I'll be giving all the details on my blog InshAllah
