why not make a new thread with all the things one should know before selecting and printing a card.
i am attaching a template sent to me by a card company. ( groom side version ) later i will attach girls side version too
this image has snapshot of all three inserts , walima , barat and mhendi …
is it okay or changing /addition can be done , if yes then please adivse/suggest.
i heard people also use ( thank you cards ) what will be wording for a thank you card
i also want to put a prayer card – with two three nice prayers for the new couple ?

hahaha OMG if you dont know what the etiquette of thank you cards is then why are you going to use them? 
firstly thank you cards are not an insert in the main wedding card, after you are married and have opened all your gifts you send them out to thank everyone as a token of appreciation, usually hand written for a personal touch.
secondly because desi weddings have min 500 to about 20 million guests (most of whom are random) i dont believe its practical, however if you know each and every person, or family attending then by all means send out thank you cards…usually within 3 months or 6 if you want to push it!
for your second Idea, personally i wouldnt include a prayer in arabic because you do not know where people will be putting the cards etc and to have Allah’s words lying around is not a good idea…
if you really do want a ‘prayer’ as such, my cousin had a Hadith on Marriage at the start of her wedding card…before the wordings began i cant remember it at the moment but i can post the words when i get home!
