i am not getting married i just wanted to know how many people think that getting marry in ramadan is a gud ideas

because i think it is the best , i am one of the person that don,t like big weddings so i love the idea of getting married in ramadan

is it even allowed? :s

Re: wedding in ramadan

I dont know how that would work...would you invite people for Iftar? It sounds good in theory...has it been done before?

Re: wedding in ramadan

Re: wedding in ramadan

Re: wedding in ramadan

well aving a nikkah in ramadan sounds fyn.. bt i dnt fink u cn av a reli big weddin .. cn u? ..

Re: wedding in ramadan

and will you be fasting after you get married? i mean married stuff is not allowed during fasting!

Re: wedding in ramadan

^so??u cant wait till the night?

i also like it, though we had a plan of my brother's marriage in ramadan but...couldn't do so.
but i like this idea....simple wedding full of barakas.

Re: wedding in ramadan

^ yea right and before having sahri wake up extra early to have spare hours to get bath etc. and if you live in a family it can be quite embarassing having wet hairs on every sehri meal.

baraka i can understand, what will ramadan effect on wedding being simple? almost every wedding and its functions happen after iftari time normally in the evening anyway. People can still splash out and have many functions of wedding during ramadan,

lol@wet hair? dude wear a scarf or tie it for a while u dnt haaaaave to leave it out

and

errr it is advised to stay way from ur spouse during ramadhan...and so tht is y marriage during ramadhan is alil akwrd and weird... srt8 after eid is fine...but during ramadhan is alil crazy...coz no1 wil turn up!

:o i wudn't go to a wedding uring ramadhan...i can spend tht time in ibadat!

well alhamdullilah v actually never ever took bath in morning, frm the first night of our married life we always take bath after we have done.so wet hair in morning....swal he pida nahi hota.

who said to stay away frm ur husband during ramadan??????
i think u shud try to have a baby during ramadan so that my Allah give u a rightous child...

u shud go to wedding during ramadan coz its sunnah to accept an invitation, and in this case when everything is simple and according to sunnah so u would definetly attend the ceremony.

and what about the babies conceived in the other months? are they not as righteous?

i did n' t say that.....may Allah bless our muslim Ummah with righteous children.
but i believe that rehmahs of ramadan covers all aspects of our lives.

Re: wedding in ramadan

kuch sharam karo…talking abt being righteous and all

Re: wedding in ramadan

Well I believe the reason why most people do not get married during Ramadan is because you want to focus on deen and since this month is the most holy month you want to focus on Quran and the prayers, etc and not what jewelry you will be wearing or what color dress you want.

Another reason is that many people tend to get tired easily from fasting, waking up early, etc. So wedding preps, no matter how small or big really wear a person out.

Last but certainly not least I guess would be the physical aspect of marriage. Believe it or not, couples like to touch each other after they get married and it could get very diffcult to go the whole day without having marital relations once your a newlywed.

But then again those are just my 2 cents.

Re: wedding in ramadan

i feel for those who get married like a week before ramadan...but...eh.

^ may be they don't fast or skip rozas :).

Re: wedding in ramadan

by the way in pakistan people do get married in ramzan, basically they start their functions after iftari and isha..pretty late (which they are pretty used to anyway)....

Re: wedding in ramadan

lovely idea i think. specially it will cut on lots of traditional non sense.

Re: wedding in ramadan

Lol... actually it doesn't for many... they still do everything but it starts late and ends late. But yeah it can be used effectively to cut lot of traditional none sense...
