Hello everyone! I am new to posting but am a frequent silent reader..since I am getting married in a couple of months I am wondering which parlor to choose…I want the parlor to be in Islamabad and not Rawalpindi…I visited Daniella the other day and saw a couple of brides…They were ok-ish…which confused me more :S It would be great if anyone could share pictures of Daniella Brides here so I can get a better idea…

I would say choose anyone but Milli..she does a super crap job .... she let me down bigtime ....

yea she did the same thing to my sister. and my sister does amazing make up all by herself.
It was a sad day for her.
I have been told by my photographer to avoid Depilex because he said their foundation comes out horrible in the pictures. I always thought they used MAC but this was his experience.
I want to personally go for Daniella, Alle'nora or Jugno.

Milli did my nikah makeup...since it was light it went well...but I know her brides are never good...so she is not in my list...I am actually toying between Sobia Amir and Daniella....Since Sobia Aamir is very far away from the venue of my baraat I am left with Daniella only :( which leaves me with a question as to what is the general opinion about Daniella Brides.....

Oh by the way....do you have any suggestions regarding Mehndi...as in which parlour is better for putting mehndi on your hands...I am not into those mehndi designs which cover your arms upto your shoulders :P I would like a delicate design uptil my wrists on both sides of my hands...without any glitter or black borders....Daniella said she will charge 1500/- Rs. for this much :S I am myself pretty good at putting mehndi but seriously dont want to get into doing it on my wedding ! I mean I deserve to be pampered on that day :P lollll.... so if you have any experiences with parlours and their mehndi designs please do share :)

what colour is ur dress?i would suggest sobia...i was there a couple of days back and saw a bride her makeup was good...a friend of mine recetly got married and her makeup was from daniella...for the valima...that was good too..daniella is good with brides on valima day...
and yes u can get mehndi done from sobias too...

I got ready from Sobia in F/8 and she did a great job. But it shud b Sobia herself. But also you have to have a discussion before the wedding and take ur dress let her have a look etc.
I requested for a traditional make up as my jora was redish orangish etc. and she did a wonderful job.i looked awesome, as my skin looked flawless. Sobias eye makeup is the strength, its too good, but dnt get it done smookey eyes. I had nikah makeup from ehr too, and had the fashion shoot, mehndi, pre wedding package with massage, padicures, waxing from her too. One advise: dnt get any pre wedding stuff done from there get it done from somewhere else!
and yes Valima shud be Daniella or any of the lighter nice parlours rather than milli or Nikhar type. Both make terrible valima brdies.

Aren’t there any mehndi walis in Islamabad who do house calls? If you want less mehndi, why tell them that you need bridal mehndi and pay a fortune? Tell them you need it up to the wrist as you have a party to go to. You can also go to one parlour for mehndi and book another parlour for makeup.

my dress is in the shades of lilac and plum ... the walima one is being taken care of by my MIL so have no idea...i have lately noticed that sobia is good on walimas but not on baraats...its the same way she prepares all the brides in red...but than maybe I have not seen many of her brides....
The only reason I have dropped the idea of wearing red on my barat is cuz I want a different look...I am fed up of seeing all brides looking exactly the same in red....the beauticians have no choice but to play with the same shades of bronze and red and maroons and golds....so the result always comes out the same....

@lavender: Thanks for the suggestions...I have heard that daniella's pre wedding package is good which makes me more inclined towards her ... lets see...
@mahismart: Loved your suggestion...:) Would definitely try this....I know a couple of small parlours in my area where the girls come to ur house and do it...I got my nikah mehndi from one of those too...but than she was not good :( which makes me wonder that it might be better if I get it done from a more renowned parlor...but I am very confused as to what to do...cuz even if I am targeting less mehndi I want it to look pretty....but I will surely go with your suggestion of not getting it done from the parlour which knows its for my own wedding ;)
