giving money makes most sense, it's what most newly weds need to set up themselves up after expensive weddings. plus people can buy what they really want, you may get them a kenwood mixer when what they really want is a kitchenaid!!! although i'm sure none of us would say no to tiffany bowls!!!
Hmmm Amani isnt it a pain to use it? I havent obviously used mine yet but for some reason i feel like its gonna be a drag to take it out, wash it etc.
I love using it-my favourite Kitchen toy!
Well i stick all the bits into the dishwasher so it isnt a hassle to use. Im defo gettin the matchin red blender-it looks fab.
The coffee machine by kitchenaid is gorgeous as well-the same shade of red but i love going out having coffee with my daughter-its our kinda daily ritual we go to Costa coffee.
SGC: Man Kitchenaid is still cheaper in Canada and the USA compared to London. Flippen heck man everything is expensive here:(

Trust me i was very chuffed when i got the Tiffanys bowls-i didnt even know the ppl who gave them u know, they were my brothers clients that he had invited. They were very generous nonetheless! Thinking abt it now we got Harrods and Selfridges gift vouchers from another one of my brothers clients aswell. I didnt even know these ppl!
lol! that's so sweet! well they obviously appreciated the invites! i think gora's on the whole give nice gifts, one's they would like themselves.
The prob with upneh is the give things they don't want themselves or they re-gift stuff they get, which is why alot of paki people now write no boxed gifts... gora's don't write it because it's bad manners to give horrible gifts, so they don't!
LOL u know what Lublyjubly those Tiffanys bowls and Harrods and Selfridges gift vouchers were given by asian ppl! They were my bro's asian clients. They wernt typical in that sense.
When my brother got married in 1992-back in the day-he got millions of NASTY presents. Like re gifted stuff-it was awful-i felt so sorry for my bhabi when she was opening them all it was like "oh another gawdy looking tea set". Poor thing!
Amani06, i take it back, you did good!! thank god for connected brothers!!!! my english friends get selfridges/house of fraser/john lewis vouchers and the paki's get that hard cashola!!!!
my sister got a tea set that someone had saved from the 1970's, my mum remembered it from back in the day!!! and before you say it it wasn't meant to be an antique gift... it was just saved all those years and dragged out for my sister...bichari... no worries, she just bought a nice one she wanted... from the CASH she was given!!!!!!
I got married in Pakistan, but live in Canada, so people were forced to give us money :p, no gawdy teas sets for me. But we had a small reception in Canada for people that couldn't make it and we had a gift registery, needless to say we ended up with a lot of stuff that wasn't in our registery, but it was not including a couple of items most of the stuff beautiful, and thinks that i would generally need, except for these really weird cat mugs, i have no idea whats up with those.

Hard cashola rulez man!!!!:D
Ur poor sis tho gettin a tea set from the 1970s....at least she got a nice one now tho. :)
i would write in on teh invites on certain peoples invites...only half are gonna listen anywas....desi cant follow simple rules!!!!!! also do a registry and put it in the invitation so at least u can pick what u do need.
i hate the kitchenaid factory.. it sucks so bad! its heavy, loads of parts to clean and wash.. and dont even get me started on its mixing capabilities! so many spots it leaves out and u have to do it manually… its just a hassle to move around.. i prefer my moulinex quick and easy and works awesomely!
