Wedding gift for husband

Hi girls,

What (if anything) gift did you buy for your husband and give him on the wedding day? I am stuck for ideas! I bought hubby an iPhone 5S on our nikkah so not sure what to get him for the wedding. My parents will be getting him a nice watch so that idea is out. I was maybe thinking an iPad but he already has a tablet and I want it to be special.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Wedding gift for husband

Get him a branded wallet with his initials embossed on it. Andddd, put a picture of you in the wallet to add a personal touch and make it special :)

(My bhabi did this for my brother for his birthday; I thought it was a really cute idea! She got him a coach wallet and they offer initial embossing on their website).

Let me know what you decide! :)

Re: Wedding gift for husband

If you know him personally and were close, how about making a scrap book that covers your relationship.. Start with the day u met, paste some pictures, write down your feelings and just re live all the memories... Be creative. It will have its sentimental value as well.... I dont know whether its appropriate as a wedding gift, but I have always wanted to do that for him..

Re: Wedding gift for husband

Scrapbooks are beautiful but I think women appreciate them more than men.

Embossed wallet is what I'd do

Re: Wedding gift for husband

Thanks ladies! My bro got him a Louis Vuitton wallet on our nikkah so I feel like there isn't really any other brand which would be better. He's not a scrapbook kind of guy so that's out too.

Guys are so difficult to shop for!

Re: Wedding gift for husband

looks like you don't know your guy so well! :D

Re: Wedding gift for husband

^ Looks like you should keep your baseless opinions to yourself ! :D

Re: Wedding gift for husband

You can always wrap just a bow to yourself in some strategic area lying on a bed..

Of course, your husband might not be in such sort of โ€œthingsโ€โ€ฆ :hmmm:

Re: Wedding gift for husband

lol...that's what i've been doing...i'm just venting now! :p

Re: Wedding gift for husband

Re: Wedding gift for husband

Re: Wedding gift for husband

How about a really nice watch?

Re: Wedding gift for husband

Thank you for the suggestion :) but my parents are buying him a TagHeur to give him at the wedding!

Re: Wedding gift for husband

Aww well just because you wouldn't want YOUR significant other's pic in your wallet, doesn't mean that no one else does! :)

Re: Wedding gift for husband

Hi five! :D

Re: Wedding gift for husband

Not sure if you are in Pakistan and if this will be possible there...but you can buy him a couples massage and go with him few weeks after the wedding craziness. You can even make it a tradition...like each year for your anniversary or around it you two go for a couples massage.

Re: Wedding gift for husband

Have you guys already booked flights etc for your honeymoon? Depending on where you're going, you can pick an activity or something at your honeymoon that you guys do together as a gift. Not sure if it's weddingy, but for my husband's bday, last year I arranged parasailing for the both of us because it fell around the time we were in Mauritius.

We never got each other proper gifts. We talked about it, and I was gonna buy him a watch but it never happened. Hubby isn't big on recieving gifts so he didn't care. He did make a scrapbook for me and wrote a long note inside it for me, I absolutely loved that but then I'm a girl. We also talked about maybe splitting honeymoon costs and making that our gift to each other. But I wasn't working at that time so none of it materialized and my husband ended up paying full for the honeymoon anyway LOL. But maybe you guys can do that?

I personally don't know if tablets/phones and clothing items etc make a good wedding gift. At least for my husband they don't. It doesn't have to be pricey or designer....think of something that might mean tons to him or to both of you, even if it's a little thing that you can do/buy for him.
