Just an observation:
I attended a few weddings last year in both places, and I have to say, I was in awe of the clothes I saw the guests wear at weddings in Canada- new designs, stylish and very trendy. Here in the U.S, it’s the complete opposite- designs you got made in 90s are still being worn.
I’m assuming that’s because there are wayyyy more boutiques in Canada and people seem more up to date with fashion trends. Here, I have seen girls just settle for whatever’s sent to them from Pakistan, and have very little knowledge of designers.

^^ pareezay i totally agree, even here in Ireland, we dont really have a fashion store there is one place and she is a gujrati lady and her styles of clothing are very indian-ish....so wenever my nani goes to pakistan she makes a few suits and brings them back....but its not like she goes regularly the last time i got clothes was in 2006 (not even fancy jst regular lawn), and then i got some made from dubai....i know trends have changed soooo much in recent times but its still acceptable to wear clothes from the late 90's. I still have loads of heavy outfits for shaadi's etc that i wear again.....ill have to wait till i go to pakistan at some point and get some trendy gear :( i feel outdated but then i dnt even have anywer to wear these clothes since we dnt have that many shaadi's and parties....
