There’s a wedding expo that will be taking place very soon, and with more dates scheduled for the rest of the year. I figured since so many ladies in the forum are getting married in the near future, they might want to check it out. Right now it’s primarily in the NY/NJ area. I haven’t been to one yet, so I don’t know how good or bad it is. But I’m going to the one next month, and will post my opinion on it. Here’s the link:

Well the one in April, ill still be here 
, there’s one coming to NY in september.. but they’re always in Long island 
I wish they had something in the city, ya know not everyone drives, some of us take public trasnportation

I actually made the effort to go to one last year. Dulhan expo stuff is very gaudy and cheap, definitely not classy.

i went to the last one held in long island. actually it was a really good experience. there was really good food and it was free. the clothes were by indian designers...a bit expensive. there were lotsa freebies like henna tattoos and kulfi. the fashion show was not bad. i didnt like the bridal dresses too much.
the DJ's were also advertising by playing really good music but i didnt like the fact that all FOUR of them were playing at the same time! it gave me a headache. you couldnt keep track of the songs. I think they should have taken turns or something.
so yes check it out its a good experience.
Sara for the one in long island you can take the LIRR and then catch a cab from there.
yeah Sorraj M i agree the stuff aint too classy...but i luv their photography/video samples...very very innovative. also the wedding planners had good ideas...

accha, 30 minute bus ride to the 4 train, another hour to grand central, godknowshowlong on the LIRR and THEN a cab? And all this on a Sunday?? 
I’ll just stick to chckin out gallery3 and finding desi bridal magazines

LoL Sara. Definitely not. I’m in the Bronx, and would’ve offered you a ride for the April show. Unfortunately the September show I’ll be back in LI, far from NYC again. Ah well.
