Would anyone here know how much would it cost to go to pakistan and get the wedding done their? I live in toronto. My family and my fiance’s family are planning on having the wedding there. I just need an estimate if anyone has done it from abroad. I dont want a big fancy wedding just a normal one. And my estimate is only from my (girl’s) side
So far, My estimate is $15,000.00 CDN. (Jewellery is excluded)
In this estimate, I’ve included:
my ticket - $2,000.00
furniture - $5,000.00 (not a lot just a nice bedset, dining table and a couch)
Hotel rent for Baraat - $4,000
and the rest $4,000.00 for make-up and lenhga
I need help…please tell me if that’s fine or too less to get all these things done. Also, please comment on the estimated amount on furniture, hotel rent make up and lenhga. Thanks.
Makeup -- if u go to a top parlor like allenora, u can pay up to 50,000 Rs for makeup alone if u get it done from the owner.. 25-35 is still a relatively decent amount, if u go to new look or madeeha's etc..
Dress -- if u go designer, expect a dress up to 2-3 lacs.. but if you go non-designer, u can get something very nice from 40-100K...
I'm not sure about hotel rent and why would u need furniture if ur just going for the wedding?
I'm weird like that....I guess very used to being independent that's why I do not want to put it on my parents if I can afford it myself. My fiance doesn't want anything and neither do his parents but I want to take furniture with me or I wont feel at home there. Going for the wedding now but I will be making lots of visits in the future or might move there permanantly later on. And even if I decide not take furniture my parents will definitely give it so why not purchase it myself.
Also, if anyone can be more specific about my estimate that will be great help

renting the place and decorations depend..what and where you are having it at.
dress--2-3 lakh
makeup--50-75,000 including shoot.

hmmm Jewellery is not included in my estimate of $15,000 though. The rest seems reasonable.
also I dont think I'm going to get a lenhga for 3 lakhs...probably from 60,000 rupees to 80,000 rupees... and Gas moeny LOL I dont think they're gonna make me pay for that it'll be my wedding day for God's sake lol hehe...They will be renting a limo so that's their concern not mine
I don't know about canada but in usa an average wedding costs somewhere b/w $15000-25000.
If you are taking entire family to pak and will ne staying at a hotel, that alone is atleast $10000.
I'm not that nice to buy the tickets of the whole family lol
They're all aware of it and will be buying their own ticket and we've got a house there so we wont have to stay at a hotel. Yea I believe $15,000 would do
we went for my bros wedding last year we purchased 5 tickets which was 5000$ altogather we spent 15,000$ on what plp call an average wedding although to me it was perfect, problem is the inflation and standards that others have of us when we go from abroad to do a wedding in pak...
I think $15,000 is more than enough for a decent wedding. Do your research about all the things and plan well or you'll end up paying a lot of money. I got married in Dec 2006 in US and spent $8,000USD for my wedding, costs included a medium gold set....lol...Everything's possible if you're smart and wise! :)

all comes out to close to $ 50 thousand !!!!!!!

that's probably because you want a fancy wedding but hey if you can afford it why not.......$60, 000 is needed for a canadian dream wedding and if you're saying $50 000 for a pakistani wedding then that must be a dream wedding....but personally i wouldnt wanna spend so much on my wedding i think 15000 or less is reasonable but then again if you can afford it without putting yourself in a difficult spot then why not
