As some of you may know already im planning my wedding for September/October this year (Inshallah)… I’m not realy that sure as to what the weather is like in Pak at time time of the year and what type of material I should have my wedding dress in…
This is a bit off topic but anyone got any idea what the weather is like in Pak in August incase I end up going then instead
Choosing fabric is a good idea. And something should be done to ensure that your wedding will not do harm to the environment. This can make your wedding more meaningful. You know disposable tableware? Caus there may not be enough tablewares, maybe you’ll use disposable tableware. So you can buy some tableware both beautiful and eco friendly, just like the one in the pic on this page catering tableware, paper pulp dinnerware, biodegradable take out boxes. A lot of things should be ready before your wedding. Wish you a good wedding!
I hate the look an feel of net. Looks cheap to me. Chiffon looks beautifullll, the fall is so elegant. It's more delicate and the kaam can catch and the threads pull out more easily but with your wedding outfit your not looking for something that your wearing day in day out so that's not such a huge worry.
^ then u might not have seen the kind of net im talking about.. i have seen net sleeves combined with chiffon and believe me or not they make the prettiest fabric combo for summer bridals
chiffon or net is a lighter option than the other staple, jamavar, but you have to make sure the fabric is sturdy enough and good enough quality to hold the weight of the kaam you're getting done. flimsier chiffons sag and rip pretty quick, you don't want that happening.
It depends on which city you are going to. Karachi has particularly mild weather throughout the year however in Lhr / Isl, weather remains hot and sticky during those months. Try chiffon, its safest , but you need to consider the design of your bridal as well, what look are you opting for is important. Based on that you can pick from variety of fabrics ranging from chiffons, net, jamawar , rawsilk, jamdani, maysore and so on..
aug is monsoon season almost everywhere in PK if we're lucky and in ISB it's usually dry spell, blistering heat build up and then DOWNpour for a couple of days then again dry blistering heat and rain downpour hopefully. lhr has more humidity then isb I guess, khi is humid even in their so called winter (it doesn't exist, not if ur frm isb:p) and Aug is unbearable in khi @ the monsoons...until 4- 5 pm then it's awesome breezy weather which I crave as an Islooite .
@but the mangoes make it all worth it ;)
hope this rambling helps and not hinders ur tavel plans .

I think I'll stick to Chiffon....
^ if ur wedding is in that time chiffon is a good idea, but if it’s later in winter then you can also use Velvet since that’s really in vouge this season. good luck
