i actually liked it ... everybody loved it ... especially the eyes ... he did the whole makeup and hair himself ...
my face becomes the size of a watermelon after such heavy makeup ... so i was scared to have that on my day ... but he really did the contouring and the base well ... most importantly ... he didnt make me chitta ...

i always wanted red lips for my baraat and pale/nude pink for my valima. :) i think red lips complete the traditional 'dulhany' look.

Actually Russian Red is the no-fail shade of red. MUA say that it's the one shade that goes w/ almost everybody! Everyone wanting to try red should def. give Russian Red a try. I'm so glad it was my first MAC purchase.

I love red lipsticks! :wub: I’d definitely wear red lipstick on the baraat day and nude/peach/pink on the valima.

This site has really good swatches of quite a few red lipsticks if you’re interesting in what they look like on the lips. A few MAC ones are in there as well…

But, here’s Russian Red for anyone who’s interested, I love this one. It’s my favourite MAC red lipstick along with MAC Red.

MAC’s Dubonnet is a darker red with warmer undertones, I guess it’d suit people with deeper skin tones

MAC’s Viva Glam I is a really deep red

And here’s a few skin swatches of most of the MAC lipsticks…you can spot the reds in there

I just have one thing to say. If you do red lips, don’t do the typical dry desi style red lipstick. outline your lips to make them full (if they arent already) and do a nice glossy look like the pic below. I am also trying to find pics of brides.
