The only good thing about Will Ferrell's cameo is that he ended up being the 40-year old living with his mom. It's funny that it turned out to be him. The fact that he crashes funerals was comical, too. That's where it stops.
Everything else involving Ferrell was awful. His constant random screaming (especially at the funeral), his constant yelling at his mom to get him meatloaf (because meatloaf is inherently funny), and basically just his presence. There was no comedic timing on his part to speak of, and it was made even more glaring by the fact that he was acting opposite Vince Vaughn, king of slick comedic timing (especially in this movie). Ferrell also didn't have any memorable lines here.

She was in “The Hot Chick” as well, how appropriate. I’ll take her as blonde or brunette any day.
