wedding costs

My cousin is getting married and this will be the first family wedding in YEARSSSSS for our family.

But theres just one confusing issue,

she is confused as to who pays for the wedding? e.g. halls, decor, food, cars etc?

and what about jewwllery, makeup etc

Bride's side pay for their function i.e. Nikkah and groom's side pay for their's i.e. Walima.

typically: barat = bride
walima = groom
joint mehndi = either split half way, or bride's side.
nikah arrangements = bride
