I was wondering if anyone on here has recently got married in Pakistan and what sort of cost am I looking at when I go sometime this year…
Any help most appreicated.

it totally depends on how big your function is - whether or not its in the city :) if ure inviting 500+ people, your cost for a day goes above 10 lacs ! im researching on all costs and made my lists - for a wedding including my preferable jahaiz, suits, gold, wedding dress and other wedding formalities - i will be done within 12 lacs
just budget it all and everything is available at all levels !

I know mirpur isn’t a big city but im planning with most stuff which will be designer here from the UK…
The venue cost is what i really need help with… i think it will be between 200-300 people only (i think)

Cost depends on venue and Menu selected. Best Venue in Mirpur is Gulshan-e-Jabeer opened recently near Chitterpari Chungi. They have large wedding halls and they provide best service. A Good menu will cost something around 700 to 1000 Rs. per person this includes venue charges. For other wedding services you can visit Shehnai Wedding Shop opposite of Sajid Plaza in C/1. They provide all kind of wedding services like home decoration, car decoration, fresh flower stages for mehndi, barat and walima, Fresh flower sage (bed decoration), Palki, Doli, Movie, Photography, DJ, Live music concert arrangement, Mehndi plates, and all other wedding accessories. You can get everything from one place at very reasonable rates....

err .. again depends on how many guests uv got .. obv the small costs will take up a lot of money and those can only be handled when ure nearing the wedding - im abroad so i cant even begin to sort those out :(
anyways ...
yes .. sorry gold was excluded and was prepared beforehand but gifts to give are included in 12 lacs ..
also, mehndi will be taken care of by my in laws - i will have 250 guests max and what i take in jahaiz is totally my worry including my clothes :)

It really depends! some people manage it in 50k and for some even 50000…k are not enuff!
