So did any of you guys acknowledge any relatives in the card, not bro’s and sis but uncles and auntys, say a VIP section etc?
I didn't. Don't know about others. Our Walema invitation card did mention my grandmother in law's name as well along with the parents of the groom.
Re: wedding cards
why would you do that? i mean, aunts and uncles.
the invitation acknowledges those who are hosting, i.e., paying, for the wedding. if your aunts and uncles are paying a large portion of your costs, then its appropriate to include their names, but otherwise it should be your parents only. siblings are mentioned usually because they "host" the mehendi/mayyun, etc. but not the actual wedding.
i don't usually see other names on invitations, but one of my clients requested the wording "Compliments of bro's name and sister's name" at the very bottom of their card.
Re: wedding cards
R.S.V.P is usually written at the bottom of the card and includes immediate hosts as 'Mr. & Mrs. so and so.'
Re: wedding cards
speaking of which, i really think RSVP's should be printed on separate cards- it makes the whole invitation look cleaner and not crowded with info.
