We ordered my brother’s cards from this website, they were very good quality and we recieved so many compliments for them.

the material desi cards are printed on..is so freakin cheap!!!! go with mygatsby, or costco, or some other...anything BUT the desi cards!!!! cheap material, and they smell funny!

good quality paper costs money and invitations aren't generally where desi's like to spend their money, you know? but i agree, good materials are key- after all, your invitations are your first impression of what the wedding is going to be like.

SGC....thats some hot stuff!! I love letterpress!!! I am getting mine done through a friend.... :)
did the designing process a month ago..and now the whole shabang.....got the cardstock for the invites..the rsvps...the stamps...programs.....its so much fun to do it yourself....if only i knew how to letterpress.....!! :)
I also got some cool silkscreen paper from hollanders...gorgeous cardstock for those diy brides!!
but yeah...if i had known better...i would have done this for my nikah as well...but i had no clue....now..i am on a roll :D

also do check out crane's paper...beautiful to get your invites printed on..!!!

^ letterpressing requires a huge letterpressing machine, chanda! its was a dying print form thats only come back in recent years so theres only a few people out there with the machines to do it. its also a hand done process and thats also why its so expensive.

what sort of budget are you looking at? that will help narrow down your choices.
go through directories like www.bride.ca, and www.theperfectweddingguide.com for lots of links to vendors.
