Even the aunti who actually attended this wedding and who is going around telling people about it wouldn't know about all the details of what happened at the wedding (unless she was close enough to hear and see everything from start to finish) and she doesn't know how the relationship between the groom and bride was up until the wedding, so not all the the information is known.
It's rare that a wedding should be called off based on one conflict, even if it's at the last moment. Sure, it depends on the nature and degree of the conflict as well. But usually people try to work it out. It's possible that the bride and groom and their families had been grating on each others' nerves for a while and the honeymoon interrogation could have been the last straw. Who knows what went down. Everyone will have their own interpretation. Hopefully the girl and the guy have moved on from it, are much happier with someone else, or will find someone that they'll be happy with.

We have to see both sides of the coin. Usually people react that way when they're pushed a little too far. Maybe the groom had been taking crap by the girl's mother (family) on a lot of other issues, and when he got pushed a little more, he got ticked off. Domino effect!
