Wedding Cake in Pak

Haven’t been on gupshup for a while, but I need your help!
Due to some circumstances I will be having my wedding a day or two after Eid this August in Pakistan, and this was all decided last week. Now, most of the things we have sorted out, I’ve chosen my walima lengha and it will be ready by August, the wedding lengha I thought I’ll just pick out from lahore or something since I’ll go to pakistan a week before my wedding. The hotel, photographer and MUA have all been booked also.
There’s just one thing…
my wedding cake.

I do not know where to get it from, my aunt claims they do not make it in pakistani bakeries which I know is bull, so I got my uncle to ask the hotel who said they make chocolate, pineapple or blackforest.
Don’t like blackforest, and I hear that chocolate cake in Pakistan is meant to be awful, and who has ever seen a pineapple wedding cake?

For some reason they did not provide any pictures of wedding cakes, I will speak to them myself about this when I get there, but what I wanted to ask after all this ranting is:

Could any of you possibly provide names of good bakeries in Faisalabad that can make wedding cakes?

Re: Wedding Cake in Pak

oh my cousin recently attended a wedding in faisalabad, im in work at the moment i will ask her and let you know because i think they had a cake!! :D

also, just a word of warning, i dont know what they use for their frosting but it tends to melt really quickly so if ur wedding is august and there is humidity make sure you go for something iced because cream will look floppy and disgusting (trust me ive been there and done that) do not trust what people say about cakes in pakistan some of them taste disgusting so make sure u have a tasting!!

also another option could be that if you dont find anything decent in faisalabad then get a cake from lahore brought down* check out *Muneeze Khalid....she is pretty amazing :D

I agree about the cakes in pak i saw pics of a really posh wedding my cousin went too in khi and the venue etc was stunning.. Cake
Looked gloopy.. I think pakistan need to hurry and catch up with their bakery skills.!

Re: Wedding Cake in Pak

Check these out the cakes are really good,Sweet Art by Aneeza | Facebook

Sugar ‘n’ Crumbs | Facebook you can find out if they would do it for Faisalabad

Also the quality of the cake depends where you get it from :stuck_out_tongue: other than that I’m not sure

Re: Wedding Cake in Pak

^^ no even the top notch bakeries in pakistan that claim good quality have a 'gloopy look' after a while, its not their fault its just the weather and humidity factor and i dont think they have the facilities yet to keep them chilled etc....

Re: Wedding Cake in Pak

I've heard of Nafees bakeries heard their cakes are good.

Also i think in pakistani they just prefer cream finishings.. Like ive not had a traditional royal icing cake, or with fondant etc in pakistan.!

Re: Wedding Cake in Pak

@bellashabba yea thats true.... :( royal icing would be better.....

also i found out Serena hotel in faisalabad can make wedding cakes....

Re: Wedding Cake in Pak

I don't think there are good bakeries in faisalabad. I am from lahore and I am considering redolence bake studios for my wedding cake. You can search their page on facebook. They create wonders!!
I am also satisfied with their quality.
