I recently watched Deepika and Ranbir’s Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and a couple of things caught my eye. Sharing them here both as inspiration for others and also coz I have a few questions about these.
The first were the wedding baskets that are sent out at the start of the movie. Would be prohibitively expensive as wedding invites but could be used for mehndi/bari/pinhoni etc.
Decorated with cloth and flowers, they include invitation cards and very pretty cloth covered boxes for mithai and dry fruits
They also include this beautiful big box which parts in the middle and seems to be painted on the inside.
Does anybody know what this box is for? I have a vague suspicion it might be a miniature god statue thing but imagine if you could have something like this for presenting mehndi and chooriyan! Lol. A girl can dream! 
The second thing was the dupatta they hold over the bride
Any ideas on how something like this could be implemented? A battery attached to a string of lights attached between two pieces of net cloth?
