Assalamoalaikum to all.
i am attending a wedding and want to wear tikkah on mehndi or barat.i have seen girls weraing it with lehnga so what do you think tikkah can be worn with shalwar kameez?my dressis like this one…
tikkah will look beautiful with this but what about shalwar kameez?
my face is small so which type of tikkah would look good?please post pics of tikkah and hairstyle weth tikkah.
is tikka in fashion?
i am not talking about brides.

It depends entirely on what other jewellery you are wearing. Avoid wearing a necklace, earings and a tikka as you will look very OTT. Unless they are small and delicate. The tikka size should depend on the size of your forehead, the bigger the forehead, the bigger the tikka can be.
Your suit is very pretty, has lots of kaam on it so I would avoid wearing a necklace, earing and a tikka would do fine. For the mehndi you could have a middle parting and a plait, that would look cute. On the wedding, maybe a puff with the tikka in the middle.

the stuff i have used for my suit is indian BANARSI,the shiny one for the lehnga(in red & gold) and somewhat dull for the shirt(emerald green & gold) with light kaam on it.i wont wear any kind of necklace though.but yesss i would love to wear small earings or studs with a delicate tikka.:)

Yes, you can wear a tikka with shalwar kameez or with any outfit you want. Alexander McQueen paired a matha patti with a dress and every one just loved it!
Usually new brides wear their tikkas to other weddings and even unmarried girls, too.

Wear a small tikka if yiu have a small face. Oh yes, tikkas look good with salwar kamiz as well. People have been wearing them with salwar kamiz for a long time.

For the upcoming shadi season, if you plan to go all traditional by wearing a maang tikka at your favorite cousin’s or siblings wedding, make sure your face is balanced out by applying a darker lip color. Red lips are very ‘this’ season. For this strong look, stick to muted colors for eyes (eye shades in golds and browns are your best bet) and a very light dash of mascara.
Tikkas look best in the ‘chand tara’ shape… and the bigger they are, the better they look! Avoid wearing any other jewelry with this statement piece. And if at all you have to, then stick to tiny gold hoops!

gosh…i cant dare to wear red lips,i love red lip colour though:D…ummm ok i will apply somewhat darker lip colour.i dont decorate my eyes with mascara ,liner etc,use only kajal.

If you have a large forehead, you can wear bigger tikka's.. if you have a round face, a tear-drop tikka would look lovely
