Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

I was not pointing out any one in my comment. It’s just an overall conclusion.

you seem to be knowledgeable about jewelry names. do you know what these articles of jewelry are:

1. gulu_band
2. dast_band
3. jhoomar paTTii
4. angushtarii
5. paa_zeb

You have spelled them better than I can so I’m pretty sure you know plenty about it. I’m part hydro so guluband is a choker and so elegant. I’m assuming DAST_BAND is something you wear on you either arm or on your wrist. Jhoomer Patti is like a mathapatthi but unlike a mathapathi, one it is a headpiece that is simple chain on one side and a thicker necklace type on the left side. Angustari- sounds like a ring. Not sure so you got me there. Paazeb is payal. Did I pass?!?

Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

I love gulubands !!

And sleeveless bridals no way but I just saw photos of an actress wearing it to her wedding and she looked great!

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

yes mansha pasha looked very nice in her sleeveless bridal.. but i think it was because it gave enough coverage at the shoulder area and suited her slim figure. on the other hand there are spaghetti straps which im not a big fan of

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

^I agree. I’m not keen on spaghetti straps either. I don’t know why but I find them to look too “casual” for formal attire. They also require toned-upper arms and shoulders to look nice. I think that’s the reason they look quite nice on actresses and models.

Personally, I don’t often wear sleeveless or spaghetti strap outfits because they tend to make my arms appear rather scrawny and unflattering since I’m quite thin. I’ve found that the most flattering length is a combination of cap sleeves and short sleeves, rather like a slightly longer cap sleeve but not as long a short sleeve.

KKF back to topic now !

We are talking sleeveless AND pantless bridal fashions here…

Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

See I’m the opposite Mez. Because I’m so thin either only full sleeved or sleeveless look good. Cropped sleeves look so bad on me and can never be even in both sides. I love sleeveless bridals. If I could go back I would of done it for an event.

I’ve seen one shoulder or tube top that doesn’t look bridalish to me.

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

^I think sleeveless bridals can look quite nice. I think it depends on the cut and the rest of the silhouette as well. I’ve seen a couple of brides wear sleeveless outfits beautifully, so I think it can definitely be done tastefully. In my case though, it’s more of an insecurity about showing my overly thin, un-toned arms than about the sleeves :p.

What I am not fond of and does not look formal to me is spaghetti straps. I think they make the bride look rather incomplete as if missing an accessory. A couple of weeks ago, we attended my fiance’s friend’s wedding and the bride wore a spaghetti strap long, maxi-type outfit. It looked quite good on her and she pulled it off nicely, but even with loads of jewellery, the dupatta on her head and loads of kaam on the outfit, it still looked a bit informal for the occasion.

I do like the one-shouldered Grecian look tho.. Think that looks gorgeouss
