Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

I'm not a sleeveless fan either..It doesnt look very bridal like. :/

Sleeveless looks BESHARAM!!! :nook:

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

I don't bloody care if it is besharam! I like besharam clothes.

I just don't think it is bridal like. Each to their own I suppose!

I think sleeveless without a dupatta looks amazing and so elegant. It's honestly just the donning the head piece bit that doesn't agree with me. I don't think short sleeves are flattering either actually!

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

Sleeveless looks pretty good (be it bridal wear or normal wear) as long as these antys and girls have their arms in good shape. Actress mansha pasha looked v elegant on her main day in sleeveless.

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

I don’t like sleeveless on brides, just my opinion

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

Growing up in a very hot humid weather, my sister and I were always more comfortable wearing short sleeves/cap sleeves or sleeveless occasionally.

My lehnga shirt had cap sleeves and I absolutely loved it; would I have done sleeveless yah totally, but my parents wouldn’t allow it for the wedding day in front of 300 guests (my dad actually said that to me) and it was fine, if thats how they felt, I didn’t want to embarrass my dad. I have the rest of my life to wear whatever I want, but they let me have the cap sleeves for the barat day.

At the end of the day I think a person knows what looks good on them and what does not, and to those people calling other ladies/aunties with bat wings or whatnot, please if you don’t agree if thats what a bride shouldn’t wear (sleeveless) thats ok, that is YOUR opinion, but please don’t talk about someone’s physical appearance :hoonh:

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

How about a pant less culture? Pair it with a dupatta

Or or full sleeves and dupatta with pantless ? :mash:

:mash2:

It’s open now and waiting for your comments.

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

I think someone already mentioned this but sleeveless outfits are not particularly flattering on girls who don’t have toned upper arms. I think transparent sleeves with a bit of work on them or short sleeves may be a better option.

I love three quarter or full. I wish I had the away to not do half sleeves but it was 12 years ago and I was stupid. 3/4 is perfect because then you aren’t wearing your churiyan on top of your sleeves and that is one look I can pass on. I think a bride without a dupatta on her head doesn’t really look like a bride. I am old fashioned like that so my opinion is totally biased but I think a bride looks like a bride when she has the nath on and I see plenty who are skipping on the math and jhoomer.

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

math or nath is something in your hair? I think someone told me once but I still have forgotten it. Jhoomer is that round thing thing that hangs on your forehead right?

Or is nath comin from nose an is that ring that hangs on your nose? If it is then I find it really paindoo.

Nath is the oversized nose ring that brides wear. Teeka is the round thing you are talking about and the jhoomer is usually placed on the left side.

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

That sounds really elegant..

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

1. gulu_band
2. dast_band
3. jhoomar paTTii
4. angushtarii
5. paa_zeb

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

less clothes = elegance, the conclusion I draw from this thread. :hehe:

Re: Wearing sleeveless bridal outfits?

^A boat neck isn’t ‘less clothes’..

As someone else pointed out cap sleeves which are considered ok aren’t exactly much more fabric than sleeveless anyway.. We’ve just been conditioned to think one is acceptable and the other isn’t..
