Wearing Shalwar Kameez

I have seen many pakis who don’t like to wear their traditional dress i.e. shalwar kameez or black kurta type dress. Not even on 23rd March and/or 14 August. Is there any special reason why they don’t wear traditional dress or else?

I think shalwar Qameez is common in Pakistan but in West other than eid no one wears it. May be jaisa des waisa bhes :D

**Muslims in India wore Lucknauwa kurta and AlgaRhii Paijaama, then Pakistani awaamii suit caught up but now it's on fast decline.

in Canada, i wear shalwar qameez at home but when i go to India, i wear lakhnauwi chikan kurta and Aligarhii Paijama both inside and outside house. **

I dont agree with that. I myself wear Shalwar Qamees and know many others who wear it.

i think they dnt wear their traditional clothes cuz they want to fit theirself to the western lifestyle..

Maybe or maybe not like UZ said in earlier post. But it looks kinda odd na in a gathering every1 wearing almost same dress but one in shalwar kameez.

Shalwar Qameez maybe a practical dress for moderate or hot climate areas, but where we live, its not practical.

Pplz wears every single day in whole year regardless to any changes of climate/seasons. Nowadays i have seen pplz who live in foreign countries prefer to wear dresses other then this on National Day and on Independece Day.

It could be because 14th aug and 23rd march are not national holidays in those countries and people have to go to offices and shalwar kameez is not an office attire
