I go a step above, the problem starts earlier when weak hadeeth are interpreted incorrectly to become part and parcel of faith. Your point stands true as well..people should be seeking those who have the knowldge and ability to comment.
I have no needs or desires to twist a hadeeth to meet my needs. If i am not going to follow something, I will just not do it. I dont have to justify it to strangers on a website.
The point still is of discussion and exchange, and learning, challenging concepts..even if it means that the challenge fails, and one comes out a more informed person in the end.
