Re: Wearing nikah outfit on valima
My friend was in a smiliar situation, she wore the same outfit to both events, but changed up the jewllery, and hair, so it looked really different. I dont think there is anything wrong that that.
I’ll be getting married in my hometown, where my fiancé has no family. After the wedding, we’ll be going to his hometown where his family is hosting a simple valima but with lots of guests. The people there don’t know me at all, so my MIL wants me to be dressed as the ‘bride’ in my nikah outfit. I’m not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand I feel it’ll be a chance for me to wear my bridal outfit again but at the same time I feel I shouldn’t be wearing the same outfit to two of my own wedding functions. Then again I feel it’s ok to do so because it’ll be a completely different event in a different city with different guess, but in the pics it’ll still be the same outfit, worn again. What would you guys do? Would you wear the same outfit or would you let th in laws know you want to wear something else and go get one?
