How about changing one part of the outfit altogether.Whichever part would be the simplest to change without causing too much stress. Eg you could just change the duppata to a contrast colour and get different style work done on the border.U could go for a different fabric choice like velvet is back these days so add that into your outfit .
Here is what one bride did to re-use her valima sharara: she cut up her dupata which was in a light fabric (net or chiffon type) & it had heavily worked borders. She wore it as a front open open coat over her sharara . Basically it added volume and the work was concentrated all in the front of the outfit till knee length where the flair of the sharara took over. It looked gorgeous.
I know another bride that changed her valeema shirt as she had a segregated function and wouldnt be able to wear it to other functions.
If you have time, then there are a lot of options
I’d suggest focusing on either the kameez or dopes as that is what is seen in most pics specially family portraits etc.
