Would you guys wear a choli to your own shaadi? Is it too revealing? When Faryal Khan wore one to her wedding, many criticized her for wearing an ‘Indian wedding dress’.
What do you guys think??
Also, some recent examples…

Re: Wearing Lehnga Choli to your wedding?
Never. It's unislamic and I would be ashamed to go out in front of people with that much skin on show. I feel that a longer kameez is way more elegant and modest.
Re: Wearing Lehnga Choli to your wedding?
Aside from the religious aspect, I think it depends on whether or not the person can carry it gracefully. I've seen people wear it beautifully. Personally though, I would not wear a choli to my wedding as I know that I cannot carry it off gracefully (I wore a choli type outfit to an Indian friend's engagement party and looked rather awkward in the pictures).
However, if you can pull it off gracefully and are comfortable with it, you should go for it!
Re: Wearing Lehnga Choli to your wedding?
Criticising it for being ‘Indian’ is pretty lame imo.. and a little racist.. Is there some rule that says brides should only wear Pakistani style clothing..
It wasn’t my sort of thing but I liked that she went for something different to what everyone expected..
I have some Bengali blood in me so I’m used to seeing the shorter length tops.. I don’t find it a big deal and yes, I wear them myself sometimes.. there isn’t much difference in how much skin is on show between those and an average saree..

Re: Wearing Lehnga Choli to your wedding?
It looks great for mehndi but covered like short shirt
Re: Wearing Lehnga Choli to your wedding?
It looks nice of course. Personally, I would wear it privately, not to show-off or anything of that sort. Religious reasons.
Re: Wearing Lehnga Choli to your wedding?
Nope.
Re: Wearing Lehnga Choli to your wedding?
IMO, its like she is wearing curtains.
Re: Wearing Lehnga Choli to your wedding?
At my wedding, I wore a lengha with a regular shirt (that came below your back) (Pakistani style).
Re: Wearing Lehnga Choli to your wedding?
Pakistani designers seem to be making them, but I am not seeing any brides wearing them. I suppose there is not much more skin showing than with a saree!
I suppose one could achieve the same look with a shorter top, with the dupatta draped over your body.
