Does anyone do that? If yes, what items do you wear? I hate wearing jewellery but love collecting it ![]()
Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis
i loveeeee jewellery.
i can buy and buy and buy...
spending £300 on a bracelet seem nothing to me whereas spending £25 on a pair of jeans kills my spirit.
the only issue is...I dont wear it..
i might wear my fav studs and bracelet..but that is it.
i hardly wear what i buy..but it doesnt stop me from spending on it..
i understand you.
Always have my diamond studs on no matter what. They are not huge so even sleeping in them doesn't bother me. I wear a tiny diamond hoop in one of my cartilage piercing as well. Haven't taken that off in more than 9 years & my nosepin. Have these three things on 24/7.
Love wearing rings as well. While I do take em off at night time, I wear a gold band in my index finger, previously a thumb band & part of my wedding rings set everyday.
As weird as it sounds if I ever take my rings or studs off I almost feel naked without them.
Also used to wear a thin two toned ankle bracelet on one of my ankles but since I had my daughter I have stopped wearing it.
Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis
Funny I was just thinking about the same thing today. I can’t for the life of me wear jewelry for more than a couple hours. I see other Pakistani girls who always wear at least a gold chain. It irritates me too much.
I can’t sleep with earrings or necklace on. ![]()
Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis
Wore a gold chain for around seven years till I lost it
Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis
I wear matching studs/small earrings everyday. But thats about it. Rings make my fingers itchy. I have a couple but only wear them if its an occasion.
Wore a gold chain for 10 years ..then almost lost it so stopped wearing it from that day onwards.
Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis
i wear a small diamond necklace and diamond studs on a daily basis. That's about it though, I don't even wear my engagement and wedding rings unless I'm going out somewhere for a special occasion.
Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis
It irritates me too. I can’t wear jewellery for more than an hour or two.
Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis

Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis

Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis
I wear my moonh dikhai necklace everyday - never take it off.
Also ever since I got engaged I wear my engagement ring on left finger, and registration (civil ceremony) ring on the right. NEVER took them off - even for sleeping/showering/putting lotion on/NOTHING! But ever since pregnancy my hands get swollen so I've stopped wearing them. Hubby not happy :(
I wonder if people wear chudiyan all the time? I tried to but my karra bent :( I never knew gold was so soft. Anyone wears gold chudiyan regularly without any problems?
You can buy a chain & wear your rings around your neck. That’s what I did in my first pregnancy. My sister gave me a white gold chain. Nothing thick. The ones I had a were too dainty. Just heavy & sturdy enough to hold the weight of my rings.
I am a little too sentimental towards my engagement & wedding rings so it was nice to be able to still wear them. Since I didn’t lose the baby weight right away I even wore them around my neck after delivery.
The higher the karat amount of gold, the softer it will be which also tells you how pure the gold is. Even though soft might not come across as ideal, it’s the best.
I love bangles, wear plain glass bangles with desi outfits for casual dinners, lunches or going out & metal or plastic bangles with non desi kapray. Before I had my daughter I used to wear colorful plain glass bangles everyday. Match up with my outfits. Would take them off for cooking & washing dishes but put them back on.
Now that I have a child that stays home with me all day, no bangles on daily basis.
Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis
i usually just wear my engagement and wedding rings whenever i go anywhere. gold jewelry i only wear at desi events. sometimes ill wear silver necklace and bracelet if im going out but i usually forget to. and then when i see someone else wearing jewelry, i remember i have something similar sitting in my drawer
Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis
I have been wearing a gold bracelet for more than 12 years.I feel very weird if I ever take it off.
I used to wear tiny studs in my ears and a sapphire ring for years. For some reason I stopped wearing them a few years ago.
Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis
I don’t wear much jewellery on a daily basis. I only wear a small Tiffany & Co. key necklace on a delicate chain, like this one:

and small studs on an everyday basis. My other jewellery I only wear for special occasions. Given the tendency I have to lose small things, it’s better this way. ![]()
Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis
I love jewellery! I have two piercings in each ear and always have earrings on in each one plus a gold chain and locket that hubby gave me on our nikkah. I never take these off unless I am matching other jewellery with my outfit and even then I will put these items back on after returning home. I always have my wedding and engagement rings on but remove them at night. I always have a bracelet and rings on too. Post wedding I have been wearing all of my heavy gold sets and matching these with my outfits plus gold churiyen and karaye (both arms!). I don't mind though as i love wearing it.
Re: Wearing jewellery on a daily basis
