I haven't heard or come across anyone who laughed at hijab. Why do think they'd say to you?
OP is right. there are segments in Pakistan that don't encourage Hijaab and mock down the women who choose to wear it.
OP: You should not even care if other people are happy with it or not as your purpose should be to wear it to please ALLAH.

Okay let me clarify. What I meant by laughing is that I've never encountered anyone who found the hijab comical.
I do know that people may "scoff" the hijab thinking the wearer is extreme. I've heard that some people will think "What is so special that you have to conceal yourself." But hijab in and of itself isn't funny.
