Ok so someone told me that she used to wear diapers during her pregnancy for times she couldn’t make it to the bathroom on time. This is the first time I’m hearing this Is it really common thing that nobody really talks about??? I know when you’re pregnant you pee alot more because of pressure on the bladder…but diapers? really?
Oh but non pregnant women wear pantyliners too, that's normal I think.
I truly don't mean to offend or make fun of anyone here, I know that every pregnancy is different, however of all the blogs/posts/comments I've read here on GS and elsewhere....this is the first time i'm ever hearing about it!
Sara I thought of you - I just came back from pre-natal classes and a woman there said she wore a diaper when during labor with her first child because when her water broke it sort of trickled for a while and pads weren't doing anything.
this is funny but i really dun understand how it will work. my grandmother is old and and has gr8 difficulty to go to washroom durin nite so my dad recommended diaper and she wears it but wot i never understood how can an adult pee in it.. i for one canot pee while lyin down and all.. that is why i was so shocked when i ws havin labour pains and was abt to go for the operation, they put this thin tube way way inside me and it was painnnnnnnnnfuuuuuuuuuuul... as it is i was cryin in pain becus of labour and the nurse inserted this! anyway so was shocked to know after delivery (rite before i was supposed to b discharged) that this thing inside me was collecting my urine into a bag.. i was not supposed to drink anything rite after delivery and that was soooooo hard but wot was even harder was not being able to cough.. cus that hurt like hell. they cudnt have put a diaper on me i guess.. cus they had put pads on me but i didnt bleed like crazy after delivery.... just more than the normal bleeding. is it possible for a woman to pee in a diaper???
yeah catheter.. it hurt like hell when they put it inside me and while removing also..... amazing.. cant imagine ever being able to pee in my diaper...
I have never heard abt this before and even if someone is using or has used it that should be not publicised. Agar kisi ki yeh baat maloom bhi hai to us par pardha dalna chahyeh.
I know women have to pee a lot during pregnancy and there is occasional incontinence, I've heard of women wearing liners, but diapers? I've never heard of that and 70% of people I know are OBs.

If the person themselves has said it publicly and openly and isn't ashamed/embarrassed, then it's not a secret that should be kept in confidence
I've never heard of it during pregnancy but I know one girl that wore them for about 2 weeks after birth, she said she had no muscle control at all and would just urinate without even feeling like she needed to go. Once she got muscle control back she stopped wearing them.
^ That is why women are supposed to start doing Kegels as soon as they find out they have conceived.
Oh and by the way not just a sneeze but laughing hard or an abrupt stop while driving can cause leakage too.
Never heard of wearing diapers while being pregnant. Whatever works for whoever I guess.
A tip I learned in my third trimester was to lean down as much as you can while urinating to completely empty out the bladder. It sure does make a difference.
