Unless you have like a period themed wedding I wouldn't do the mughal styled hat thing women wore back in the day, as for the tiaras south indian brides keep that tradition, it works on some on others it looks really dumb. I'd chose to not do it.
I have seen brides do tiaras and crowns but your jewelry would have to be minimal and it would have to coordinate with the dress. I would consult a sytlist to make sure you can pull it off with a desi bridal
Ambo dont worry about the comments. All the posters are either already married or they have no hope of getting married so they are just showing their jealousy. You go girl. This is so cool.
I don't like the look. I've heard of one real-life example of a bride who wore tiara with desi bridal clothes......and it's just way too much.....and overthrows the balance. When I think tiara....I think of "royalty" or "pageants." And the bridal clothes and jewelry alone make them stand out from everybody in a postive way......that they really don't need a tiara.
Let's put it this way, if it makes you happy, wear it - but 99% of the guests will think it's OTT and I could be nice, but honestly they'll think it's gaudy.
But hey, it's your wedding and other people's opinions shouldn't matter to you - so do what makes you happy!
