What tactics were employed? Mine began biting his. I had planned to make him leave it at age two but after buying three replacements I went cold turkey and gave him his bitten one. He didn’t like it. I told him he broke it. He accepted it rather well. Day three and we are now pacifier free!

I did the same. Thing #2](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=2) had a terrible time leaving the pacifier, so I just stopped replacing them. The last one, I let him keep chewing and biting it until the literally chewed a huge hole into it…it started getting all nasty and dirty but I would still let him put it in his mouth (gross I know lol) until one day he started getting annoyed himself so I said “Dheko, illa (that’s what he called it lol) kitna chichee hogaya, usko pehkdo ab”…he threw it in the trash himself and never looked back!

None of my kids ever took one, no matter how much I tried to get them to take it.
