Helppp my baby won’t eat anything lumpy or textured he eats only smooth shop bought food. He’s 7 months now he should b able to eat food like mushy bread or rice etc but all he does is gag and at times he throws up 
anyone else have this problem?

yup, i did! it just means he’s not ready yet. 7 months is still a little early. don’t force him so that it turns into an issue in his mind. just keep offering things to him SLOWLY and GRADUALLY and you’ll see the change as he gets older. mine started off with making the transition from baby oatmeal to regular quaker oats. also, i noticed mine was more willing to swallow if the food offered was moist, not dry. mashed bananas are a great introduction to textures. maybe try to mash it well but not too much and then mix it in with his regular food. a bite here, a bite there should be sufficient.

Thank you! I really needed to hear that he’s not ready yet. U know wat mothers and mother in laws are like just scaring me saying he shud b doing this and that yeh woh etc etc. I tried banana a month ago and he didn’t like it ill try it again maybe he will now. Thanks again xx

the ONLY thing your baby SHOULD be doing, is being himself- adorable, fun, cuddly, etc.
ignore everyone who says otherwise. no two babies are alike! they all have their own preferences, likes and personalities. you know him best and that’s what matters.

What sgc said!!! I had this problem with my baby too n i posted a thread about it too lol n still he prefers pureed food he’s 10months n cant chew small pieces well…and i’m totally OK with this,listen to your baby n ignore others who say he should be chewing etc…
