Weakinesses in islam, didnt anyone tell you islam aint weak if you follow it, and the only thing that is weak is people who think like you(the westernised people).

Is there any truth behind allegations that the west is against islam and islamic laws, obviously, as has been revealed time and time again there is a bias against islam in the western media whether it is intentional or stems from simple ignorance, you can decide for yourself.

1) None, if learnt and followed correctly.
2) Not at all. In fact, islam incourages
education and science. There was a time when
Europe was in darkness and Muslim empire
was on rise.

1- islam is flawless but the Muslim understanding is not... it is human...

Can you be more specific??? West compares Islam to the Nazi Germany in some extreme cases. Ofcourse the media also offers truth about Islam and its laws but how often do we see that??

Weakness of Islam is people who call themselves Muslims but fail to follow Islam the way it should be. That is the only weakness that outsiders think of and that is the only weakness that currently exists.
They make the followers of Islam weak by indulging them into corruption and then taking advantage of them. Some example of their efforts to weak us are: Cable TV, too much sex and sexual exposures on TV, know what happened to Egyptian Army men when they were fighting Israel? Jews/Bristish put Play boy megazines in their tanks, those guys were busy looking at naked women and Israeli jews were winning the war...thats how they do it.
A man in British Parliment said with Quran in his hands(check out your college history books): "if you can take away this book from Muslims, then they are nothing..." [if anyone know of the exact statement please post..thanks.]

I think you are off track. What you mentioned are the weakness of Muslims as human beings which they share with every other human being on this planet. Topic was the weakness of Islam as a religion not of the followers.
If we assume that there is no weakness in Islam as a religion and every problem we see with Muslim Ummah is due to their own misdeeds(which is due to human nature as they are created), How can we prove that Islam has no flaws since it has never been completely implemented in its true nature. In other words there is no existing example to prove it. Some of the so called current islamic countries viz Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Iran are already controversial to even musmlims themselves. How they can be presented to outside world as a perfect system?

A strange question to ask. Does Islam have weaknesses ?? Has a religion divulged to humanity by the creator Himself have flaws ?? The answer is itself given. A totally unnecassery question to ask.
And yes, Islam encourages to seek knowledge and education. How can a religion given to us by Allah fail in today society. It is a religion timeless and universal in every sense, without flaw, failures and weaknesses.

Analyse it:
From the above posts and from many other discussions in other threads, I feel that the main weakness of Islam is its inability to see its own weaknesses.
Muslims either (know and) deny its existence (by telling how great and how infalliable Islam can be) or blindly believe in its non-existence (by believeing that God created Islam and hence it cannot have weaknesses).
For that matter many here amongst us don't even accept the fact that Islam has evolved into various themes in various parts of the world. They tell that Islam as a religion did not evolve, but only the people who follow Islam, implement it differently in different parts of the world. They fail to see that the implementation of a religion and the belief that it is the right implementation is the essence of the religion in itself.
IMHO, Islam was created by the same entity/group/species (whatever you call it) that created Christianity or Hinduism or Buddhism. You may call it God or humans or messengers or human needs or whatever. If you wanna call it god, then, it is on the will of the same god (you call it Allah or Jesus or Brahm) that all these religions came into existence.
Further, all religions, including my own (and Islam) have their own weaknesses and denying that is like closing your eyes from it.
That is the simple truth!

Analize, I see where you're coming from. But, if you see and study the life of Prophet Mohammad(pbuh) you will see implementation of Islam in almost every aspect of his life and people around him.
You will see:
How he dealt with Enemies and friend.
How he dealt affairs concering policies with those enemies.
How he dealt with people in his private life, his wives, and other family members.
How he dealt with his companions and friends.
I can go on with "how" list.
And as far as we are concerned, we will not see what are weakness of Islam and what are they potential benefits of Islam until you implement it. And we won't implement it until you understand what are the benefits of implementing it.
The reason I said what I said in my other post is because, Islam without its followers is nothing. Islam is a power when someone practices it and Islam and he become one. In order for the enemies of "ISLAM" to destroy Islam, they have to destroy its followers, with any means possible - be it putting playboy megazines in our tanks or exhibiting our kids with extreme sex and sexual content. Anyway, I apologize, didn't mean to change the subject.

Some of the facts about islam that does not make logic.
1) Women are given a lesser role in life by not getting equal share as men. They are considered inferior as witness.
2) Killing a muslim who converts to another looks inhumane and does not make sense.
3) Calling interest as Haram. It is an economic tool successfully used for centuries. What purpose did it serve? Islamic principle of banning it totally failed because it is used by almost all the islamic countries all the time. A true hypocrisy.
4) After more than 1500 years, Islam has failed to convince majority of world as a true religion. Most of its early growth has been blamed on the use of power by historians which is partially true.
