Haseena Moin (born 20 November 1941) is a notable Pakistani dramatist, playwright and writer for radio and television.

Selected television dramas written by Haseena Moin

i have also heard her voice measage which arjay recorded.she is so right that aj kal dramaz are 12 masalai ki chat.her each and everyword was soo true.i am not of her age ,i belong to the new generation and YES we dont like now a days dramaz.mostly they are soo full of masala and chewgum ki teraan lambai:smack:

Re: we need you back Haseena Moin

Haseena Apa ki kya baat hai!!!! She's the best and no other writer in Pakistan can compete with her. On a personal level, she's very down to earth. Unlike the small-time writers of today who beat their own trumpet.

I think all of haseena apa's dramas were great. Apart from her popular plays(tanhaiyaan, dhop kinaray, unkahi, kiran kahani , uncle urfi etc ) which are masterpieces, I also like her lesser known dramas like parosi, kasak, parchaiyaan. Some of TV's best dialogues were written for parchaiyaan.

On a critical note, just like every great writer she's at her best when working with talented directors like Sahira Kazmi, Shahzad Khalil etc. But when she writes for commercial minded people who have a myopic understanding of this medium, her writing suffers to some extent. That's due to the inability of her director to extract the best from her.

I hope she works with people who are as talented as her so they can tap her full potential. Unkahi, Dhoop kinaray Tanhaiyaan they're all top notch but they're not a reflection of her full potential. I feel she 's yet to write her greatest masterpiece. I hope she gets the right team for that though and stays away from those who just want a stamp of 'Written by Haseena Moin' on their plays.

Re: we need you back Haseena Moin

is their any recent drama written by her????

Re: we need you back Haseena Moin

She has written the drama that's currently on ARY directed by Rana Sheikh. I am forgetting the name....stars Ali Kazmi...based on the whole 9/11 and taliban thing.

i didnt saw it:hmmm:

Re: we need you back Haseena Moin

please let us know the name when you find it.

Re: we need you back Haseena Moin

I looked it up. It's called "Kaisa Ye Junoon."

Re: we need you back Haseena Moin

i have seen some episodes on youtube, of hasina moin's 'kaisa yeh junoon' but it is unlike any other drama she has written, this is not a feel good family drama, that she is known for.

this is a coming of age story regarding terrorism and its impact on Pakistan and its youth, background is the afghan/soviet war which brings their mess into our society. Follows the lives of 4 youths played by Azfar Rehman, Ali Kazmi, Madiha Iftikhar and Ayesha Omar. Basically its a very political drama discussing the present day clash of extremist religious issues, some scenes were so realistic in the portrayal of the mess we are in today.

Even Hasina Moin has changed her writing theme and style to suit the signs of times.

well i am not impressed by that drama.

omg kaisa he yeh junoon is like one of my fav dramas on ARY at moment.
its nice seeing haseena moin going into new territory, she mus be sick of writing family dramas.

Re: we need you back Haseena Moin

haseena moin was okiesh...not a bad writer but nothing great great either...some of the dramas by her were good n entertaining

Re: we need you back Haseena Moin

Blessed you need to watch her dramas first then comment.

She is really one of the best writer Asia ever have. She is the ASSET.

Re: we need you back Haseena Moin

i agree with fairytale... does anyone know why she stopped writing??

errr i have seen her dramas thats why i said it....

and everybody has their own opinion

Re: we need you back Haseena Moin

haseena moin was not okayish she was a great writer. I don't see many writers writing comedies that can actually make you laugh. it's easy to write drama but to write comedy takes a lot of intelligence/experience and wit. You can easily make something like hum sab umeed say hai and jeans college but to write a popular play like ankahi is next to impossible....it's been more than twenty years since ankhai was made but so far no other wirter has come up with something at par with it.

well for comedy i liked family front too:@:

Aangan Tera by Anwar Maqsood is on Number One on my list of Pakistani Dramas.

Aangan Tera : Shakeel, Bushra Ansar and Nasir... main cast.

Anwar Masood is another one of the bestest writers we have ever had.

I remember Kasak... Robina Ashraf's right? It was really one of the very interesting dramas. Even Parosi... very familiar name and I know it was a drama we would wait for like anything.. at 8pm, Pak time. But i dont remember now what was the cast, which drama it is?

Re: we need you back Haseena Moin

last week i watch Zer Zabar Peish. I is a master piece. I like it very much. Shakeel and Roohi Banu are wounderful.

Re: we need you back Haseena Moin

yup Zer Zabar Paish.... :)
