Said Sherman Alexis, a Native American on Bill Moyer’s show. He was referring to Internet friendships. Human interactions and relationships are complex, he went on. You and I are having this conversation. We subconsciously know we can smell each other, he said to the venerable Bill Moyer.
He went on to talk about the execution of 38 Indians ordered by Lincoln. One was pardoned and was singing a song of mourning. How many of us would join in that song, he asked.
I didn’t watch the Lincoln movie as kindly as you did, he said.
9/11 made everyone Fundamentalists, the West and the Muslim world. I stayed out of it, he said.
He has written a book “Blasphemy”. I upset all sides with my beliefs, he said. I don’t believe in my God. Just love the stories.
Those looking for a Spiritual 30 minutes should check this out. The 2nd half of today’s show.
Long live Bill Moyer.
