(1) Dhoni has an inappropriate secret relationship with Ravinder Jadeja (Dhoni’s recent marriage is just a facade).
(2) Irfan Pathan rejected Dhoni’s advances and invited Dhoni’s wrath.
Jadeja is an “anti-allrounder” if there was one - can’t bat and can’t bowl. Was intrumental in India’s exit from two T20 WCs, can’t put bat to ball when required… yet his inclusion in the Indian side is a given these days.
On the other hand - Irfan Pathan - a hero of quite a few famous Indian victories (2008 T20 WC Final, Perth Test etc) has been out of the team (all formats) for more than a year. The apparent reason - he has lost pace. As if the other Indian bowlers are spitting fire with their pace. Even with his supposed lost pace (he did not have tearaway pace to begin with) - Irfan is still a better “spinner” than Jadeja. And Irfan’s batting capabilities will give Rohit Sharmas and the Kohlis a run for their money. Yet, Dhoni let his disappoinment be known when once Irfan was selected ahead of Dhoni’s another man pal - R P Singh. Irfan scored a century in that match (vs PAK at Bangalore) but apparently it wasn’t good enough for Irfan to find favor with Dhoni.
Conclusion:
Its time for Dhoni to come out of the closet.
haha I sort of agree about Jadeja... do not understand why he keeps getting selected.. although he wasnt today.. and the part timers bowled just as good as jadeja wouldve!
but pathan i dont agree with.. what has he done in the last 1-2 yrs in domestic cricket? you got any stats?
Asif.. thats all based on Irfan's best performances which was years ago.. I dont follow Indian domestic cricket very closely so I might be wrong but Irfan hasnt been wrecking havoc in domestic cricket.. so I am not sure why he deserves a call back..
But Jadeja is definitely overrated... Are we stuck with him till the WC? He didnt play today and the part timers bowled really well. Dhoni does not use the part timers well enough. We are blessed to have Sehwag Raina and Yuvraj.. all 3 bowl very good part time spin.. they should be able to bowl 10 overs between them easily we should just stick with 3 pacers and 1 frontline spinner..
