I think that is not impossible. Even today the ruling coalition in Pakistan consists of seculars. I think this can begin on the government level. Constitutional correction are essential in this regard. Religion needs to be de-constitutionalised. This will de-fang the clergy. Only honesty and some bold decisions are needed on the part of the ruling elite.

Religion is part of constitution cosmetically. Where do you see religion being implemented ? In business ? In daily life ? In government offices ? In Masjid I fail to see core values of religion being followed in Masjid ? Even mullah does not follow the religion to its core. Something else has given power to Mullah and that is illiteracy of our masses. Only education can bring the change in the thinking of masses. Mass education will give people open mindedness and ability to think for well being of their family . Once you educate massed Mullah will be marginalized automatically.
