We are jinxed i tell ya

So guyz more bad news
I told you naa our system crashed …
so the company decided to completely remove the old one and replaced it with a new one
new monitors, keyboards ..hell i even got one of those cute little mouses with a red thingie

so kher today a virus got into our system and wiped everything off
sadly since we distribute australia wide our system nationwide is all connected to the same server
So the virus got through this guyz email thingie and spread from there to all the connected computers

Ironically his was the only pc without any antivirus and he was gonna install it today

So my encounter for the first time with a computer virus was very pleasant
since we couldnt get on the machines we just had a ball
sat around …had lunch, chatted some of us went out shopping
It was fun:D
in a sad kinda way

Anchal,

it's great that you know your priorities. What did you buy, nail polish or a new mouse mat?

Anchal,

I feel for the people involved in sorting out your company's virus problems. I remember facing a similar siuation with one of my clients in the finance industry. They lost millions in two days of mayhem...simply because their employees had to sit around twiddling their thumbs.

Waisay...is the new mouse pad and nailpolish RED??

My nailpolish has overnight become a Star

I bought the nailpolish the mousepad i got for free:D

Muzna
its really annoying cause there is so much work piling up and nobody can do anything bout it
so we are right now bout four days behind

More drama
so they changed stuff and decided to replace the usual hard drives with these small black boxes
they reckon that they are faster running one application and are cheap
So i am sitting there working and its so slow that i am like dozing off

So no matter how fast my fingers type the machine is sloooooooooooow
uff the manager a stuck up lady comes and suggests that i am like doing nothing and just sitting around and passing time

I was like fuming kher i went well the system is very slow i will try harder smile and walk away muttering bitch under my breath

an hour later its discovered that at the warehouse the computer has the same address as my computer
so two machines running on the same address is bound to slow down and get errors

Wasnt she red faced …but did i hear a sorry NO
lets see what happens next

Anchal Bajiiiiiii: It sounds like, it's time to move on. I guess you got my point. So start posting resumes and calling your contacts ;)

To solve virus problems, firewalls etc: I would suggest using My CIO (www.mycio.com). It is great. Please visit the site and recommend it to your company.

Kaka, worm = a virus that is usually transmitted through email.

Hey Anchal, its not so bad, you should be lucky you weren’t the one who launced the worm when he/she recieved it in email. I wonder what that ‘stuck up’ lady did to him/her.

Anyways, what the hell, did you hear that Microsoft, also suffered a serious masla with an email worm. Some of their source code for the future versions of Windows and Office was spied on!

AOA,

by the way what was that red ‘thingie’ that the mouse had?

Allah knows best…

prince_x a WORM is not a virus, similar though cause it also replicates itself, different cause unlike a virus, a worm does not need to be attached to a document or executable program to reproduce…look it up.

Akelay Hum Akeley Tum one of the best firewalls is the ZoneAlarm, we personally use it at our office, works great. You can get it at www.zonealarm.com
