Forget about which factions fight in NWFP. People there can fight on anything.
A paktun told me this joke:
Two tribes were fighting for years and tens of people were killed in this fight. Each tribe had a hill and each tribe claimed that their hill is higher than the others.
In the local mosque, was a mullah and his student, both belonged to each of these two tribes. One day mullah said to his student, see how ignorant our people are, they are killing each other just on the height of two hills!
Student said yes, that true, but i wonder why the people of your tribe just can't accept that our hill is higher, its so obvious.
Mullah said, even if you put your father and grandfather on top of your hill it'll remain shorter than our hill.
And they got their guns out and started shooting.
