As Pakistanis, we believe in Muslim brother-hood in a hood-hood (wood-pecker) like zeal. Whenever we face the Sunni-Sunni violence, we start moving our heads like hood-hood and start blaming everyone from Bharatis, to Israelis, to Americans. Just like hood-hoods and totas (parrots), we repeat Mullahtic lies and then quickly go back to our deep rooted slumber.
**About the recent murder and Sunni-Sunni violence in Bara, NWFP.
**The two men at the heart of the problem were Pir Saif ur Rehman — who arrived in the area some time ago to set up his ‘mystical’ order among the predominantly Deobandi local population — and Mufti Munir Shakir, a tough Deobandi who hates the Shias and has raised hell in Hangu before he was made to flee from there. Some people say the war in Bara is a Deobandi-Barelvi war. Even if the two orders are not directly involved, it is clearly a conflict between two ways of approaching Islam. That Peshawar and Islamabad took so long in grasping this fact is quite shocking. What did the government do when Mufti Shakir set up his own FM radio and organised his Lashkar-e-Islami? What did the government do when ‘foreigner’ Pir Saif ur Rehman began converting the local population and started becoming rich with the gold ornaments that the believing women of Bara gave to him in return for his “miracles”? Bara got divided between the two warring men of God. They set up their opposed jurisdictions in the area. Mufti Naeem was pursuing a system of punishments on the order of the Taliban under the doctrine of amr and nahi and enjoyed the support of the majority of the local people. The war was finally put down with 8,000 troops but the problem remains unresolved throughout Pakistan. It was followed by the great Edi Milad un Nabi massacre of Karachi. The sectarian war is here to stay because the state is based on religion and the religion is sectarian.
Forget about which factions fight in NWFP. People there can fight on anything.

Shia-sunni was the norm of the day during the 90s.. every now and then you hear Sipah-e-Sahiba Vs Sipah-e-Mohammed Vs some Tehreek.. boming mosques all over Punjab and random killings.. Correct me if I am wrong but Barelvi vs Deobandi conflict happening in reality is comparatively a new one. As a muslim Punjabi, my faith in Pakistan can’t be questioned but I sincerely believe that Prophet (PBUH) is watching all this and these damn Arabs will be punished some day for disturbing peace in Punjab. They are like animals and should be tried like one. In the recent bombing, I sorta understand the reason to kill Abbas Qadri and Akram Qadri bit what was reason to kill the members of Jamaat-e-Ahle Sunnat, including Haji Hanif Billo and Hafiz Muhammad Taqi? For decades now! It is almost criminal that we have to hire "budaraga" the local protection even when we want to send in an engineer for planning a new project.
If you tell this Pushtoon budaraga your itinerary a day ahead of time, he sends out the message, and the FAT FATA FATA criminals kidnap this poor engineer. Then the government has to give tawan (ransom money) to get the poor thing released.
Then we have these Kabuli Kommies who love to f@rt on this forum that we don't do enough for the development of the area.
