There was no pristine system. You wouldn't consider Brahmans living like kings and Shudras like rats exploitation but I do. I don't have to put forth any evidence, your very act of defending the system indicates that it has religious roots. You should condemn it without hesitation!

Another correction brahmins in the opriginal caste system eniovsaged were supposed to live their life through begging..... Now some brahmins later on exploited their position to earn wealth can;t be put at the doors of scripture which specifically forbids it..
Yes that old tale: judge a book by what it preaches nto by what its reader practice.. i am sure Islamists wouldappreciate this given how often they fall on to thsi argyument everytime people try to associate the work of jihadis with islam..
