Re: WC Points Table
Yes brother, as Asif mentioned, Pakistan after victory against SA is out of troubled waters. Situation has changed. Sarfraz miracle catch that sent Amla back to pavilion was game changer.
If Pak had lost to SA than WI qualification was certain (assuming WI beats UAE), and it was necessary for Pakistan to win against Ireland for a chance to qualify (losing to Ireland and still qualify, was no option). Now, if Pak beats Ireland, Pakistan is certain to qualify. On the other hand, if Pakistan loses to Ireland than also Pakistan has chance to qualify.
Situation is that, if rain washouts Pak-Ire game than both would qualify and WI would sit out … If Pak had lost to SA, than rain wash means Ireland qualifies and Pak sits out.
Only problem now is, Pakistan losing to Ireland (Ireland qualifies). In that case, it all depends on WI beating UAE and the margin of WI beating UAE plus margin Pak losing to Ireland. Together, that margin should not exceed 80 runs.
If WI beats UAE by 80 runs than Pakistan has to beat Ireland to qualify, else WI and Ireland would qualify.
So, assuming WI beats UAE by 80 runs than Pak vs Ireland would be crucial match for Pakistan. If Pak lose that match than Pak would be out. Well, if WI beats UAE by 1 run than also Pak vs Ireland is important, as in that case if Ireland wins against Pakistan than margin should be less than 79 runs,
