WC 2003 - Super Six Stage.

Stop your Pakistani hatred and except the fact when it comes to bowling Pakistan has always been ahead of India by a huge margin just because couple good matches for Zaheer and others doesn’t mean they are better then the rest.

Since Chaminda Vaas has taken more wickets than MCgrath, Lee, does it mean he is the better bowler.
And what are you talking about the last year, the whole team has been pthetic, we have lost most of our matches to the batting, our bowlers have done us proud.

Indian bowling attack?:rotfl:

but still man, I can’t believe our bowling line up has fallen to a point where people have started comparing it to the indian side. It’s degrading enough for me.:frowning:

These kids are getting carried away with just 2 or 3 good matches, in order for a bowling lineup to be very good, you have to play consistently for many months and years to be called great.

You have to challenge class teams like Aus, when was the last time the great Indian fast bowlers skittled Australia under 200 outside home.

^
in their dreams.

Until recently I would have agreed with those who say there is no such thing as "Indian pace attack". When the spinners don't strike we were usually in major trouble. But yesterday I looked at a comparison of the pace at which top bowlers have been bowling in the world cup from all teams. Guess what? The three Indian pacers (yes, I no longer say this with an apology) have been bowling the 140+ kmph range matter of factly and so has the Aussies and Newzies. Except Shoib all Pakistani bowlers have been doing BELOW 140. And Shoib has been erratic as compared to the Indian trio.

Given this pace and accuracy, while I still think McGrath Brett Lee combo is more dangerous, this India trio is right up there.

Yes they haven't hit this form level before and yes to be called truly great they will have show more games like this. But right now they're zoning babieeee! Great winners these Indians!

^ Dude, don't act foolish. Bowling well in 3 games does not prove they are anything but mediocre bowlers having a good game or two.

After they have destroyed Australia, you can gloat.

Yes..totally Agree...they have always been better till last 1 year.Dont dilute the subject as you always do.here we are talking about present lineup. When it comes to current bowling lineup We are far better.Stop praising dead horses and erratic Shoib.

That's six or seven games - not 'a game or two' as you dismiss it. Give them due credit. Your own idol Imrah as welll as the Newzie captn have acknowledged it ..

Not 7 games,

vs Holland: Below Avg
vs AUS: BAD
vs Zim: OK
vs Nam: Good
vs Pak: BAD
vs Eng: LUCKY
vs Ken: OK
vs SRI: Good
vs NZ: Good

Are you sure… I guess you didnt see his bowling in death overs.
I think you post your comments by seeing score card.Do you really watch the game.
In many matches where you called him below average or BAD he was actually very good .Its just that his analysis doesnt have wickets.
There are very few in this worldcup who bowled in first 15 and death overs and have better economy rate than Zaheer.Definitly ur great Waqar,Wasim and Shoib are not among them. :rotfl:

First of all bhai sahib, I am talking about the whole Indian bowling, not just Zaheer Khan, so don't be too emotional.
And second India has bowled above average on only 2 or 3 games, vs SRI and NZL other than that they were beaten badly.

Australia beat Kenya by 5 wickets.

Karim for Kenya bowled 8 overs and took 3 wickets for 3 runs. WOW.

The semi final line up :

AUSTRALIA V SRI LANKA

KENYA V INDIA.

Hey guys check out Asif Karim’s figures
O M R W
8.2 6 7 3

6 Maidens!

Australia’s batting in the past 2 weeks has been very dissappointing, specially the collapses in the top order. Its been guys like Symonds, Bichel and Bevan have rescued Australia on so many occaisions.

Did anyone see Gilli’s 2nd 6 to Collins Obuya
One of the biggest sixes I have ever seen.

Finally, Sri Lanka booked her place for the Semi-Final against the Aussies. Another fine peformance by Marvan Atapattu, unbeaten 103. Jaysuriya still struggling, went off cheaply for 22. It wasn't much anything from the Sril Lankan side. Today's victory just depend on Marvan's century.

Coming back to Zimbabwe's inning, Andy wasn't out. It was an inside-age. How the hell umpire gave him out? Umpirin' has gone nuts throughout this World Cup tournament. Anyway, it was sad to see Andy's dismissal as his International Cricket Career ends with a doubtful decision.

Zimbabwe captain Heath Streak celebrates an early breakthrough, dismissing Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya for 22.

*An eagle-eyed Marvan Atapattu bats carefully on the slow wicket and anchors the Sri Lankan innings. *

Sean Ervine, the youngest man in the Zimbabwe squad, delights in dismissing Aravinda de Silva to leave Sri Lanka on 175-3.

Atapattu accelerates towards the end of the innings, taking his score to 103 not out and giving Sri Lanka a total of 256-5.

*Opener Doug Marillier makes a brisk start on the Sri Lanka total before falling to Pulasthi Gunaratne for 19. *

*The 75-run victory means Sri Lanka pip New Zealand to the last semi-final spot and will face Australia on Tuesday *

:hehe:

i didnt c that six cuz it was out of the ground! boy that shot is damn hard and it was nothing for him…but Asif Karim bowled well:k:…
i know that Brett Lee will b exhausted cuz he did his hat-trick…
