beating each other to pulp will not resolve anything. It’s not gonna make sex wonderful later, unless you’re into that sort of thing.

ok ok..on a serious note…all the things u mentioned in the above post…is a given and is mentioned in the hadith…of course you have to resolve things first…as mentioned even in the hadith hitting is a last resort AFTER all else fails…and that 2 with nothing bigger then a toothbrush! everything you mentioned is nothing new… besides…the Prophet SAW nvr had to resort to hitting. Hitting or beating in accordance to the hadiths is a concept totally misconstrued…hitting or beating as mentioned in the hadith is not the kind of hitting or beating we think of or hear about in today world where men totally take advantage of it where they leave bruises on their wives and inflict her with pain…THIS IS NOT ISLAM!
