Bissmillah hir Rehman nir Raheem
the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Merciful)
Narrated Abu Huraira Razi Allah Tala Anho (May Allah be pleased with him):
The Rasool Allah (May the peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) said,
“None of you should say: ‘O Allah, forgive me if You wish; O Allah, be merciful to me if You wish,’ but he should always appeal to Allah with determination, for nobody can force Allah to do something against His Will.”
(Sahih Al-Bukhari: 008:075:351)
Benefit:
Dua is a prayer which a request, plead, petition, beg or an appeal to our Creator, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. When we make it with full determination, Allah fulfills it if it is good or beneficial for us, otherwise there would be a delay or something else as an alternate would be given, as Allah knows best what is good for us. This is why Shariyah tells us to pray Salatul Hajjat for needs and Salatul Istikhara before making a decision or choice.
We need to understand that “InSha’Allah” (God willing) is different from what is mentioned in don’ts of making dua. It is used to put our trust with Allah in our day to day life, jobs, pledges, promises, plans, etc. in order to gain permission and blessings of Allah for having things done right.
