are you allowed to get waxed while fasting?
if you bleed a little does that void your fast?
are certain areas allowed or not allowed?

No sister, waxing during fasting should not be a problem. However, I have heard that if bleeding exceeds over a certain time frame such as continuously bleeding for 5 mins or something along those lines, then it can break the fast. Maybe more posters will know about it. But as far as i know it, it shouldn't be a problem. :)

Errrrr, talking about waxing certain areas, well if talking about waxing in terms of being PAAK (clean), then that is definately not a problem, because you are getting rid of dirt (however you want to classify it) :)

Bleeding through a cut or an abrasion doesnot void roza.

Having said that it is also said that while you are fasting you should refrain from providing your body with taqleef.

Dear korisn, why dont you wait till Rozas are over to get your waxing done.

Also if you are getting it done, like you say which means that another person will be doing it then your legs etc will be exposed to them which probably isnt good

LOL, yeah she didnt specify where she'll be doing her waxing. but i think any bleeding AT ALL does affect your roza but dont quote me on this! i could be wrong

if waxing is allowed outside of ramadan, why would it be haram in ramadan? i understand some things are forbidden in daytime hours, like eating and sexual relations, but this def doesn't fall into either category.

The only thing I could find was that if you are bleeding through your gums then that would break your fast.

If you have a blood test or are giving blood and it makes you dizzy and light headed then that will makrooh your fast.

if bleeding is that bad that u are fainting or die... then ur roza is no more.. but a drop of blood wont hurt at all. koi kamzoori nahian hogi.

Unless you're going to EAT the wax or lick off the blood, both are fine. There is nothing in the scripture about a fast being void if there's bleeding, heavy or light.

That may hint to some people that she is going to have someone wax her. Anyway, for general information, here are the things that invalidate the fast:

  1. Sexual Intercourse
  2. Masturbation
  3. Eating and Drinking
  4. Anything that is regarded as coming under the same heading as eating and drinking
  5. Letting blood by means of cupping and like
  6. Vomiting deliberately
  7. Menstruation
